SEEE Display Cabinets

In the pursuit to make science accessible to all, students and visitors can view interactive cabinet displays throughout the Chemistry Biology Building (CBB) hallways featuring Great Discoveries in STEM history. Along the way you can learn about many individuals who overcame adversity, challenges, or personal struggles, and yet made important contributions to our scientific knowledge and awareness. Regardless of one’s sex, religion, race, abilities, socioeconomic status, or other struggles, there is likely someone who shares a relatable story.

Our dedicated biology and chemistry faculty have developed dozens of cabinets in the SEEE Yourself in Science (Student Enrichment, Engagement and Equity in Science through Science History and Research) project. The goal is to showcase a series of themed artifacts and biographies related to great discoveries in science, explaining the history and importance of these discoveries while simultaneously highlighting the contributions made by women and minorities in science.

Each CBB display cabinet is connected to the current research work of our faculty and UWSP alumni. The displays will promote engagement for community members including teachers and K-12 students with interactive QR codes and teaching resources, including games and lesson plans. Come explore our collection!
