A minor in sociology is an excellent complement to any major, since knowledge of human behavior, the structures of society, and social justice/inequality are useful for students in any area of study.
The minor administered by the Department of Sociology and Social Work consists of 18 credits. Sociology 101- Introduction to Sociology and Sociology 350- Sociological Theory are required. The remaining credits may be earned in any other courses in sociology.
