From a young age, Heather Berklund ‘00 had gravitated toward jobs and volunteer opportunities that involved working with people while allowing her to enjoy time in the natural world. Her first job out of college was as a forester with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. Recently, Heather was appointed chief state forester for the Wisconsin DNR—the first woman ever to hold that position.
