One thing about your school that you are most proud of?
I value being a part of the College of Professional Studies as it emphasizes academic and career development in a professional and safe environment. The Sentry School of Business and Economics does a fantastic job with its applied learning aspect, ensuring that students are fully prepared to enter the workforce by the time they graduate!
What do you enjoy most about your role?
What I enjoy the most about my job as an academic adviser is the opportunity to interact with students in diverse and meaningful ways. All students brings their own unique goals, challenges and perspectives, and I find great satisfaction in guiding them through their academic journeys. Whether it’s helping them navigate course selections, offering support during pivotal moments, or celebrating their achievements, these interactions allow me to make a positive impact on their educational experience and personal growth. The dynamic nature of these relationships keeps my work engaging and deeply rewarding.
A piece of advice for students in your school?
If you can, immerse yourself within the campus culture and get involved within the university. You can learn so much information and meet so many influential people!
