Olivia Roe

Bio

Olivia Roe completed their M.A. in Communication May 2020 from the University of Wisconsin -Stevens Point with their focus on self-discrepant behaviors and relationship satisfaction. Olivia is now continuing their studies at the University of New Mexico where they study intercultural communication and the transgender community. Olivia combines aspects of behavior regulation, expectancy violation and coming-out narratives to explore intercultural interactions within family units. Olivia also explores the role of media representations of trans persons and how those representation influence prejudice toward trans persons.
