Jordan Held

Bio:

Jordan Held graduated from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point in 2014 and has been an active performer across the state of Wisconsin since high school.  His love of playing the trombone in marching and pep bands lead him to directing the UWSP Pointer Pep Band since 2014.  Under the direction of Jordan, the Pointer Pep Band has grown and become an important part of Pointer tradition.

Music has given Jordan the opportunity to perform with a wide variety of bands.  Such groups would include the Macy’s Marching Band in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, plus other various marching and community bands.  Many may have seen Jordan in a public setting while marching with his unique Yankee Dutchmen Marching Band in community parades across Southern Wisconsin.  He has been a proud member since 2006 and began leading the band in 2020.  Jordan is also a active participant of the 1^st Brigade Marching Band and Oconomowoc Legion Band from 2017 and 2015 respectively.  Within the community, Jordan has been playing with River Cities Jazz Band since he was a freshman in college and plays professionally with other local musicians.
