Explore our Facilities at the Central Wisconsin Environmental Station

The Central Wisconsin Environmental Station (CWES) offers a range of facilities for both indoor and outdoor activities. The “Rick Wilke” Sunset Lodge is the main meeting and dining space, seating up to 120 people. It includes a spacious main room with 90 seats, two projection monitors, and a smaller Wilderness Room for 24 people. Guests can also enjoy Wifi and a wood-burning fireplace with beautiful views of Sunset Lake. Outdoors, the Outdoor Fireplace is a peaceful spot with Adirondack chairs overlooking the lake. For overnight stays, there are five Scandinavian-style log cabins, each sleeping 8 people, and nearby Anderson Lodge offers a central lounge and heated sleeping bays for up to 22 guests. Becker Lodge provides a smaller meeting space for 20 people, with a display monitor, wifi, and forest views. CWES’ facilities are ideal for schools, retreats, and special events. Please note that to ensure the comfort of all guests, pets are not permitted on the premises.

Rick Wilke Sunset Lodge

The Rick Wilke Sunset Lodge is the main meeting space at CWES and serves as the dining hall. With a total capacity of 120, the main room and side room (Wilderness Room) can accommodate many visiting schools, conference groups, retreats and special events. Bathrooms and the food service window are adjacent to the meetings spaces within the building. The main lodge seats 90 and has 2 projection monitors. The Wilderness Room seat 24 and has a projection monitor. Wifi is available throughout the building. The lodge offers a wood burning fireplace and spectacular views of Sunset Lake.

Outdoor Fireplace

Adjacent to the Rick Wilke Sunset Lodge, the Outdoor Fireplace, donated by Paul and Patti Adamski, is the perfect outdoor meeting location. Sit back in Adirondack style chairs while taking in the views of Sunset Lake.

Scandinavian Style Log Cabins

Five cozy Scandinavian-style cabins are nestled around a shared bathhouse, offering comfortable accommodations for up to 8 people per cabin. Perfect for groups, these cabins provide a peaceful retreat while enjoying the natural beauty of the Central Wisconsin Environmental Station

Anderson Lodge

Anderson Lodge features a central classroom/lounge equipped with a wood stove, stove, refrigerator, and microwave. The lodge includes three heated sleeping bays with bunk beds, accommodating up to 22 guests. Convenient restroom, shower, and dish-washing facilities are just a short walk away, making it an ideal choice for group stays at the Central Wisconsin Environmental Station.

Becker Lodge offers a versatile meeting space, featuring tables and chairs for up to 20 people, a display monitor, and Wifi.
