UW-Stevens Point hosts a large variety of banquets and conferences every year, not only for student organizations and UWSP Departments, but for others throughout the community as well. If you are looking for a classy and inviting place for your next conference or banquet, UWSP has what you’re looking for.
The Dreyfus University Center houses our large banquet and conference spaces, including the Melvin R. Laird room. These spaces offer many accommodations, such as On Point Catering and UWSP Event Technical Services. The Dreyfus University Center also houses smaller meeting rooms that can be added to your reservation for breakout sessions or board meetings.

Banquet and Conference Spaces
at the Dreyfus University Center
DUC Melvin R. Laird Room
The Melvin R. Laird room is the largest banquet and conference space located in the Dreyfus University Center. This space is capable of many different seating arrangements sure to fit any event need. This space comes equipped with dual projectors and a single projector in the North end of the room, as well as adjustable lighting, and large stage capabilities. This space can also be separated into five smaller sections, or a combination of sections.
DUC Alumni Room
The DUC Alumni room is a wonderful space for professional conferences or banquets. This room comes equipped with a projector and screen, as well as the capabilities for a small stage. This room has large windows that let in natural lighting and overlook the Iris Fountain behind the DUC. This space is warm, classy, and the perfect space for your next event.
DUC Legacy Room
The DUC Legacy room is a great choice for small and intimate conferences or meetings. This room comes equipped with an in-room projector and screen that can be accessed via an A/V station in the room. This station also includes laptop hook ups.
DUC Encore Room
The DUC Encore Room is an industrial style location, great for comedy acts, concerts, open mic nights, and so much more. This room come equipped with a built-in stage, stage lighting, upstairs balcony, and a green room.
