Available Scholarships and Awards
Undergraduate majoring or minoring in Sociology. Student may be interested in demography or pursuing a graduate degree in Sociology.
Awarded: Spring
Sociology or social work major with 3.0 overall GPA (including transfer credits) and 3.5 GPA in sociology courses at UWSP; at least a first-semester junior and not a graduating senior; has completed 12 credits of sociology at UWSP; full-time student; faculty recommendation.
Awarded: Spring
Sociology or social work major with 3.0 overall GPA (including transfer credits) and 3.5 GPA in sociology courses at UWSP; at least a first-semester junior and not a graduating senior; has completed 12 credits of sociology at UWSP; full-time student; faculty recommendation.
Awarded: Spring
Sociology or social work major who has expressed strong interest in gender and woman’s issues, or social deviance.
Awarded: Spring
Social work student who demonstrates interest in a career focused on serving the aging population.

One or two Sociology majors or minors participating in a full semester abroad program in Poland, England, or any other UWSP overseas site, in that order of preference. Consideration given to academic criteria and financial need.

Thanking your scholarship donor is an important part of the scholarship process. It is a requirement of University Foundation before receipt of the scholarship. Information on thanking your donor will be provided to you when your scholarship is awarded. Postage and mailing is handled by the College of Letters and Science.
