The Pointers Week 2024 schedule has started to be posted! Keep checking back for additional dates, events and details.
Pointers Week is your chance to make connections with fellow Pointers and gain tools needed for a purposeful college experience! Activities include:
- Meeting with your academic home – Get acclimated with faculty, staff, and student leaders within your college to make connections and set yourself up for success.
- Participating in convocation – Rooted in tradition, this kickoff event welcomes you to life as a Pointer. Every new student has the opportunity to touch the cupola to mark the start of your college experience. The next time you touch the cupola is during commencement.
- Finding your people – There are numerous events and activities to attend, participate in, and try out as you start your new journey at UW-Stevens Point. Here is your chance to take advantage of new opportunities.

- Business Boulevard-Outdoor Track Colman Field
- Learn about Sentry School of Business & Economics! Explore our programs, get to meet some of the faculty and staff you’ll learn from, and most importantly, get to know other students like yourself! Be ready for fun as we’ll have activities, games and a sweet swag bag to welcome you to the Sentry School. Open to students majoring in the Sentry School and other students interested in a major/minor within Sentry School.
- Connect-Collaborate-Create with CoFAC-Noel Fine Arts Center Michelsen Hall room 270, and Central Courtyard
- Join us in Michelsen Hall where you will get a chance to meet the Dean and faculty. We will introduce you to our programs and share some opportunities in our college. Participate in some fun activities, and take a tour through the Noel Fine Arts Center (NFAC) and the Communication Arts Center (CAC). Wrap things up with an ice cream social in the NFAC courtyard at 4 p.m.

- The Block Party is a chance to get acquainted with the 13 departments in the College of Letters and Science. Meet some of our outstanding faculty and learn about the exciting programs we offer. - Come join Any Swing Goes for an Intro to Swing lesson! Anyone is welcome, so feel free to come alone or with a buddy! No prior dance experience is necessary as we’ll teach you all the basics of East Coast Swing. It’s a great way to make some friends and meet new people.
