SCHOLARSHIPS REQUIRING AN APPLICATION
Scholarships are awarded independently of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Incoming freshman scholarships are based on merit, not financial need. Priority scholarship consideration will be given to students who have submitted their application for admission and the new student scholarship application (linked below) to UWSP by Feb. 2 at 11:59 p.m. Scholarships are awarded to both first-year and transfer students who meet certain academic criteria (based on available funding).
NEW SCHOLARSHIP MANAGER PORTAL FOR UWSP SCHOLARSHIPS
Applying for scholarships has never been easier at UWSP! Starting in August, admitted students can login to UWSP’s new Scholarship Manager portal and apply for all first-year institutional scholarships conveniently through one application. Students will be matched to available scholarships based on answers completed on the application. Not all sections and essays are required in the application, but providing more information may increase the number of opportunities for which a student is eligible. The application doesn’t have to be completed in one visit and will be saved every time a student navigates to other questions. Along with completing the scholarship application, we recommend filing the FAFSA and sending over official transcripts to ensure the best consideration.
