Are you interested in public service? Have you ever wondered what is it really like to work in the U.S. Congress? Two former congressmen will speak on their experiences in a free community event at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point this month.
Congress to Campus provides the unique opportunity for honest dialogue and civic education with former members of U.S. Congress from both major political parties. UW-Stevens Point’s College of Letters and Science will host a forum with former Congressman Peter Kostmayer (D-PA) and former Congressman John Faso (R-NY).
The free event will be held from 6-8 p.m., Monday, Feb. 17, in the Dreyfus University Center Laird Room, 1015 Reserve St., Stevens Point. The event is free, but participants are encouraged to sign up to guarantee seating. Refreshments will be provided. Attendees can register here.
The event is sponsored by the Office of the Chancellor, Division of Student Affairs, UWSP College of Letters and Science and the Menard Center for the Study of Institutions and Innovations. You can find more information at https://www.uwsp.edu/event/congress-to-campus/.
