Laura Bell

Laura brings more than 20 years of diverse research experience, grounded in strong science-based projects. She holds a B.S. in biology and an M.S. in natural resources from UW-Stevens Point where her master’s thesis focused on the genetics and morphology of Cooper’s Hawk populations across British Columbia, North Dakota and Wisconsin. Additionally, Laura has collaborated with the Peregrine Fund on research projects involving peregrine falcons in Greenland and harpy eagles in Panama’s Darién Province.

For her doctoral research, Laura investigated the influence of non-cognitive factors on college admissions and student performance, showcasing her commitment to understanding complex educational dynamics. Over the last decade, she has continued to focus her research efforts in higher education. Currently, she leads a team dedicated to market research, enrollment analyses and strategic assessments, while overseeing the Offices of Admissions and Recruitment, Financial Aid and Insights. Her passion for both quantitative and qualitative research drives her continuous pursuit of innovative solutions in higher education.
