Bio
My fascination with water and fish started as a young child when fishing and exploring the water’s edge at my grandparents’ cottages here in Wisconsin. I was amazed and intrigued by the wide variety of fish, lakes, and rivers during incredible fishing and outdoor family trips to Alaska, Canada, and “Out West.” During an “Aquatic Biology” undergraduate course I realized I could turn my passion into a career, and it’s one that I thoroughly enjoy.
I teach a variety of Fisheries courses and lab sections for Introduction to Soil and Water. My research interests include fish population dynamics, habitat, movement and migrations, and novel research techniques.
