BIO
Michael Steury joined the Department of Biology faculty in 2017 after earning his Ph.D. at Michigan State University. His dissertation was “The Role of G-Protein Receptor Kinase 2 in Mucosal Inflammation.” Steury’s research interests are microbiome inflammatory bowel disease, autoimmune disorders and physiology education. He said he most enjoys answering student questions about science. It keeps presenting the material in a new light and with a new spin.
