Last book you read?
Invisible Child: Poverty, Survival, and Hope in an American City by Andrea Elliot. This book shows the determination and ingenuity of children living in less than ideal situations. It also shows the gaps and cracks in the social, emotional and educational realms of society.
Best advice you ever received?
It’s ok not to know what to do next, and it’s ok to ask for help.
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
A teacher! I can remember playing “school” with my stuffed animals.

One thing about your school that you are most proud of?
The School of Education is so incredibly friendly and inviting! Everyone has a smile for you.
What do you enjoy most about teaching?
I love the relationships I build with my students. I want to be a trusted person that students can come to with their achievements, failures and as an ear to just listen.
A piece of advice for students in your school?
Don’t be afraid to ask questions! We are all here to help you on your education journey.
