Fun Facts

Last book you read?

Wandering Stars: A Novel by Tommy Orange

Best advice you ever received?

Be kind, work hard, say yes.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

Early on I wanted to be a dancer and then a lawyer.

Favorite Quote?

“Listen to your gut. And on the way down to your gut, check in with your heart. Between those two things, they’ll let you know what’s what.” – Ted Lasso

One thing about your school that you are most proud of?

We have several alumni who are now on staff and that speaks volumes about how this department impacted them to want to come back and pay it forward. I love that we have an in house clinic and that everyday I get to see the great work our students and staff are doing on behalf of our amazing clients.

What do you enjoy most about teaching?

I love helping our students explore an area of the field they don’t have any experience in and hopefully inspire them to pursue that after graduation.

A piece of advice for students in your school?

It is a rigorous major, but if you love what you are learning, then doing the necessary work will be a job you willingly do.
