here is how you can take part in helping to continue UWSP’s
growing green legacy.

Top 15 Tips For Everyone:- Bike and
walk more, drive less. Carpooling is another great
sustainable option.
- If you must drive, be careful about idling. Don’t
idle for more than 10 seconds; turn your car off
instead.
- Sign up for green energy.
- Eat local and organic
foods.
- Turn off computers, lights, and
appliances when not in use.

Take shorter showers and shut off the water when
brushing your teeth or shaving.

Turn the thermostat down.

Pay bills online.
- Avoid junk mail. Register for
the Mail Preference Service on the
Direct Marketing Association website
- Use compact fluorescent light bulbs.

Buy a reusable, recyclable water bottle.

Buy secondhand items.
- Only do full loads of
laundry and wash all clothes in cold water.
