Steps To Applying for Financial Aid
Everyone must perform steps 1-4. The rest of the steps are
fund specific.
1. Complete and submit the Free Application for Federal
Student Aid (FAFSA). See

Dates and Deadlines.
2. Receive and review the Student Aid Report (SAR).
3. Respond and complete all requests from the Financial Aid
Office.
4. Sign and return one copy of your award letter if you
received paper notification, or if you received E-mail
notification you may
accept your award on-line.
5. If looking for work on campus, go to Student Involvement
and Employment Office (SIEO)
homepage. Both work-study and non-work-study jobs are listed.
6. If borrowing a Stafford Loan, complete the Stafford Master
Promissory Note and the Entrance Loan Counseling if you have not
done so previously.
7. If borrowing a Perkins Loan, complete the Perkins Master
Promissory Note through the site e-mailed to you by the Perkins
Loan Office.
8. If borrowing a PLUS (Parent Loan for Undergraduate
Student), complete the
FastPLUS application online.
NOTE: Disbursement of funds to student accounts begins one
week before school starts.
