Higher Education Corporation: Great Lakes is a
national leader in guaranteeing and servicing
Stafford loans. The site includes a Personal
Financial Management section, repayment calculator,
account information, and more.

National Student Loan Data System: This site is
the U.S. Department of Education's central database
for student aid. It receives data from schools,
agencies that guaranty loans, the Direct Loan
program, the Pell Grant program, and other U.S.
Department of Education programs.

MyPoint: Prepare for next semester on-line
(Campus Login required): Here is where students at
UW-Stevens Point can check their university billing,
grades, textbook requirements, and link with their
personal financial aid information-- all in one
place. A campus login and password will be needed to
access this site.

Association of Financial Aid Administrators (WASFAA):
This site offers contact information for financial
aid personnel at Wisconsin colleges.

U.S. Treasury Department - IRS: To learn about tax
incentive provisions for higher education, including
the Hope Scholarship and Lifetime Learning tax
credits, education IRA's, and student loan interest
deductions.

Website: An excellent source of information on
college loans and financial aid, here students and
parents will find many useful guides for college
planning and interactive calculators for budget
estimation, loan repayment, borrowing needs, and
lots more-- over 200 pages full of information.

Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators
(NASFAA): There are many excellent links to
financial aid informational sources through NASFAA's
web site. There is a special information page
designed for parents and students. UWSP is a member
of this organization.

students.gov Webpage: This is a student gateway
to the U.S. government. This site gives information for online government services and
information, including material about colleges,
careers, study abroad, distance education, veteran's
education, lifelong learning, and lot's more. It was
designed with the student in mind.

The Student Guide: This document, made available
by the U.S. Department of Education, contains a lot
of information here about federal aid programs and
the application process.
