Financial Aid

Eligibility Requirements

1. Have a high school diploma or equivalent, been home schooled, or pass ability-to benefit test.

2. Be admitted to UWSP and working toward a degree. (*)

3. Cannot also be enrolled in elementary or secondary school.

4. Must be making Satisfactory Academic Progress as defined by the University.

5. Must have resolved any drug conviction issue(s).

a. U.S. citizen, U.S. national or eligible non-citizen.

7. Cannot be in default on a FSA (Federal Student Aid) loan or owe an overpayment of a FSA grant or loan.

8. Have a valid Social Security number. (Except for Micronesia, Marshall Islands, and Palau).

9. Register with the Selective Services if you are a male between the ages of 18 and 25 years old.

(*) Only exceptions are those persons pursuing teacher certification or 2nd Bachelor's degree. If you are pursuing either of these, you must fill out a "Special Student Declaration Form" and turn it into the Financial Aid Office with the correct documentation.
