Snorkeling, hiking, kayaking and exploring the unique ecosystems of the Baja
desert and the Sea of Cortez
Activities include:
Snorkeling
in the Sea of Cortez within two marine preserves.
Highlights include swimming with wild sea lions and the only coral reef
system on the western side of North America
Hiking
diverse desert terrain from ancient cardon cacti forests to tropical desert
thorn-scrub. Highlights include camping and hiking on the World Heritage
Site Espiritu Santo Island and Fox Canyon located in the Biosphere Reserve
Sierra de Laguna
Sea kayaking along Espiritu Santo Island
Physical exertion level: Easy to Moderate.
This trip is suitable for adults of all ages and a wide range of ability
levels.

What is included?
7 days/6 nights (5.5 days of activities)
Meals:
Lunch on arrival day to breakfast on departure day
Lodging:
1 night double occupancy at Hotel Marina, La Paz, Mexico
3 nights Island Tent Camp (two people per tent, cots, sleeping bags
included)
Tent camp is a full service island camp with
kitchen and cook staff,
solar showers, eco-flush toilets, generator to charge
camera batteries,
lounge chairs, and umbrellas.
2 nights at Cabo Pulmo Beach Resort, Baja Mexico (shared bungalows,
shared bathrooms, individual beds, steps from the beach, fans, electricity,
hot showers).
Transportation:
from
the airport at
San José del Cabo to La Paz
and back.
Groups arrive from the US to San Jose del Cabo Airport and are
transported via air conditioned 15 passenger vans 120 miles north to La Paz
where you will spend your first night in Mexico. On day 2 you will travel
approximately 26 miles by boat to the camp on Espiritu Santo Island.
